At Men End FGM Foundation (MEF), we have remained steadfast in our mission to empower the girl child while actively engaging men, boys, and elders through dialogue, training, and other gender-transformative approaches.
Attached to this report is our latest newsletter, highlighting the work we have been doing at MEF
Over the past year, our interventions have slowed due to significant funding cuts. We lost nearly 90% of our funding. Despite this challenge, the unwavering support of our incredible well-wishers, including partners from GlobalGiving, has enabled us to continue our work and remain present in the communities we serve.
I am also excited to share an inspiring update on our Male Champions program. We recently produced a follow-up documentary featuring champions trained in 2020 and 2021. Their consistency, commitment and courage in advocating against FGM is truly remarkable. Their journeys are a powerful testament to the lasting impact of your support and the transformative change it continues to create within communities.
You can watch the documentary Here.
We kindly invite you to continue supporting our work, so we can amplify these voices, document more success stories, and accelerate progress toward ending this harmful practice once and for all.
