HELP TRAIN 100 RURAL WOMEN TO ADDRESS HUNGER (Project ID: 58536)
Funds Raised: $144 of $3,856 goal
Summary of Progress:
Through community mobilization and local resource leveraging, CREACC-NG has identified 100 women farmers across Sokoto and Kebbi States for inclusion in our Home Garden & Nutrition Awareness program. So far, we have trained 20 participants in backyard vegetable cultivation using recycled containers and organic manure. The project is raising awareness on nutrition, local food systems, and the link between climate change and hunger.
Challenges:
Limited funding has slowed the procurement of seeds, training materials, and irrigation tools. Many women have shown great enthusiasm but require continued mentorship and resources.
Next Steps:
Expand home garden kits to 50 women in early 2026.
Conduct a nutrition workshop in collaboration with local agricultural officers.
Document success stories for wider community replication.
Appeal:
Every donation—no matter how small—helps a rural woman grow food for her family and community. Together, we can reduce hunger and promote climate-resilient agriculture.
