ENTHUSIAM.
This is how GABRIELA on the photo feels and this might be the best way to describe the current climate at our association.
Our employees, independent teachers and volunteers are doing a fantastic job.
Our pupils are delighted with our courses. Not that they don´t know how difficult it is to find a decent job, but they know that learning more will definitely give them better chances to achieve their goals at some in time.
In fact, DUE TO OUR LIMITED FUNDS, we have no more room for more pupils, despite the enormous demand we are facing.
If enthusiasm reigns in our entity, we cannot say the same about Brazil. The consequences of the crisis are devastating. Crime rate is up, more people are sleeping in the streets, drug gangs are in a terrible war in Rio and other major cities. This is only one more reason to KEEP OUR YOUTHS AWAY FORM THE STREETS.
Even if our pupils are unable to immediately find a job, they are embracing the opportunitiy to get better education.
Says Anny, another student that completed our courses:
“The course has given me the confidence to move ahead in my career. It gave me the opportunity to step back and reflect on what I do, how well I do it and where I can improve together with the toolkit to progress.”
Due to the crisis, funding is scarce and very very difficult to find. We only have a couple of months worth of cash to run our entity and we are engaging in some major fundraising events.
We will soon tell you more about an upcoming BONUS DAY that GlobalGiving will promote in October.
