2013 ended with yet very promising events!
In November and December we joined our forces with those of another association and moved to their premises. Our new partner is called Lar das Crianças Casa do Caminho which is specialized in assisting and providing activities to youths and adults affected with intellectual disabilities, especially Down syndrome.
Though we are now sharing their premises, we continue to be separate entities and we will carry on with our program which consists of teaching cooking, English, manicure, Music, computing skills and Administrative Assistant. The new premises are larger, more comfortable and are located in the middle of a very poor community of Itaquera, in the eastern suburbs of São Paulo. This will make it easier to find youths who want to enroll and will be a source of savings both on rent and transportation for our pupils.

In 2013 we trained more than 500 youths. A very nice accomplishment when compared to our original goal. We continue to have problems with our financial situation and our daily struggle to raise funds is both fierce and time consuming. Your generous donations are always welcome!
We take this opportunity to wish you our Season´s Greetings and hope 2014 will give you Peace and Health. As for ourselves, we wish 2014 will bring more education to our youths!
