When Musa lost mobility, he also lost his income. In Nasarawa State, many physically challenged people want to work but lack opportunities. This project will train 25 persons with disabilities in shoe making, giving them practical skills, renewed confidence, and a chance to earn with dignity and independence.
People with physical disabilities in Nasarawa State face high unemployment due to stigma, limited training options, and inaccessible workplaces. Many depend on charity despite having the ability to learn skills. Without inclusive livelihood support, poverty and social exclusion continue to deepen.
We will provide accessible shoe-making training for 25 participants using adaptive tools, skilled trainers, and supportive learning spaces. The program includes hands-on practice, basic business guidance, and mentorship, helping participants gain marketable skills and pathways to self-employment.
Our goal is economic inclusion and independence for persons with disabilities. Graduates will earn income, support their families, and serve as role models for inclusive employment. Over time, the project helps reduce stigma, strengthen local economies, and promote dignity through skills.
