This project is currently in the mobilization and fundraising phase with a total funding target of $4,000. As of this reporting period, no financial contributions have been received, leaving 100% of the project budget still outstanding. No individual or recurring donors have been recorded yet.
Despite the current funding gap, preparatory engagement with target communities and project planning activities have continued to ensure readiness once resources are secured. The proposed budget remains dedicated to training materials, facilitator support, community mobilization, communication tools, and basic preparedness resources for the 200 selected Community Safety Marshals.
Securing the full funding amount remains the immediate priority to enable implementation and ensure vulnerable communities in Niger State receive timely flood preparedness training before peak flood periods. Continued fundraising and donor outreach efforts are underway to activate the project and deliver protection benefits to over 2,000 residents.
