A huge thank to everyone who has supported the WAKIPA Women in their journey with us!
With all their success, they have been busy mentoring our younger and newer group, Mshikamano. The team on the ground interviewed everyone from both groups to properly match the mentors with the mentees, and their meetings have been off to a great start. The Mshikamano Women have dreams of starting a soap buisness and we know that the WAKIPA Women will be great support in helping these dreams come true!
The WAUKI women's and men's groups have also been busy! The women recieved a new sewing machine and have been sewing away. The men's group has started shoe making lessons with a local shoe maker to improve the leather sandals that they are selling.
All of our groups have shown great initiative in making their buisnesses the best they can be! In 2019, our income generating groups made over 9 million Shillings! This allows these incredible individuals to contribute to themselves, their families, and their communities!
Our new Entrepreneurial Fund will support groups and individuals to go through buisness training and kick start their buisness while also attending our gender equality workshops! Kickstart a buisness and break the cycle of poverty by donating today!
These projects would not be possible without you!
