Dear friends and supporters,
PPAF was invited by Solar Cookers International to join in a seminar at the United Nations. It was held on July 6 and covered the work of that organization generally, and with a focus on Haiti.
Attached to this report are the text of the PPAF presentation on solar cooking and the photos we used. We also sponsored a video by a Haitian colleague on the problems of cooking with charcoal and the possibilities of cooking with the power of the sun.
PPAF is glad to engage with Solar Cookers International and others in seminars and projects, and on public policy issue platforms to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Participation in this seminar provided an excellent opportunity for that.
