QUARTERLY REPORTHelp 100 Physically Challenged in S/East Nigeria (54331)Reporting Period: Quarterly Update

1. Introduction

This report provides an update on the progress of the Help 100 Physically Challenged in S/East Nigeria project (ID: 54331). Our mission is to improve the quality of life of persons with physical disabilities by promoting inclusion, access to essential support services, livelihood opportunities, nutrition, and community participation across Southeast Nigeria.

Despite limited resources, we remain committed to advocating for the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of persons with disabilities through our internal social enterprise, volunteer efforts, and community outreach.

2. Appreciation to Our Donors and GlobalGiving

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every donor who generously supported this project during this reporting period. Your kindness and generosity encourage us to continue serving some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.

We also sincerely thank GlobalGiving for providing a trusted platform that connects our mission with compassionate supporters around the world. Your partnership continues to make grassroots impact possible.

3. Financial Summary

During this reporting period, we gratefully received $32.37 USD through GlobalGiving.

To ensure continued communication, project coordination, donor engagement, beneficiary follow-up, and implementation activities, the funds were used to purchase data for internet connectivity and communication. Reliable internet access is essential for managing project activities, communicating with beneficiaries and partners, submitting reports, and sustaining outreach efforts.

In addition to this donor support, our internal social enterprise continued providing in-kind resources, volunteer support, and operational assistance to keep the project active.

4. Project ActivitiesCommunity Outreach

We continued engaging communities to raise awareness about the rights, inclusion, and wellbeing of persons with physical disabilities. Our outreach encouraged greater community support and promoted equal opportunities for persons living with disabilities.

Beneficiary Engagement

We maintained communication with beneficiaries, caregivers, volunteers, and community stakeholders to identify priority needs and strengthen future intervention planning.

Nutrition and Wellbeing

Through our social enterprise, we continued promoting Samony Natural Nutraceutical Diet Products and nutrient-dense fortified food products, recognizing the importance of good nutrition in supporting the overall health and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals.

Food Innovation & Training Hub (FIT-Hub)

Our Food Innovation & Training Hub (FIT-Hub) continued supporting innovation, skills development, nutrition education, and sustainable livelihood opportunities that will benefit vulnerable populations, including persons with disabilities.

5. Social Enterprise Support

Although donor funding was limited, our internal social enterprise continued sustaining the project through in-kind contributions, research, innovation, volunteer engagement, and community outreach.

For the past three years, we have consistently donated food during the pilot testing of our nutraceutical diet products and nutrient-dense fortified foods. These donations have benefited vulnerable individuals while helping us improve product quality, safety, and nutritional value.

This integrated approach enables us to combine humanitarian service, nutrition, innovation, and disability inclusion into a sustainable community development model.

6. Estimated Impact

Despite limited financial resources, the project continued making meaningful progress.

Community Reach

  • Approximately 30–50 persons with disabilities, caregivers, and community members reached through community outreach and engagement.
  • Continued communication with beneficiaries and stakeholders through improved digital connectivity.
  • Increased awareness of disability inclusion, nutrition, and community support.

Capacity Building

  • Strengthened planning for future disability support programmes.
  • Continued development of sustainable community-based support initiatives through our social enterprise and FIT-Hub.

7. Challenges

The limited level of funding continues to restrict our ability to provide mobility aids, assistive devices, livelihood support, educational assistance, and expanded outreach services for persons with physical disabilities.

Additional donor support will enable us to reach more beneficiaries and provide comprehensive assistance that improves independence and quality of life.

8. Prospects and Future Plans

In the coming months, we aim to:

  • Expand community outreach and disability inclusion programmes.
  • Provide greater support for vulnerable persons with physical disabilities.
  • Strengthen nutrition and livelihood initiatives through our social enterprise.
  • Expand the Food Innovation & Training Hub (FIT-Hub) to create inclusive vocational training opportunities.
  • Build partnerships with disability organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, and development partners.

We remain optimistic that continued donor support will enable us to improve the lives of more persons with disabilities across Southeast Nigeria.

9. Conclusion

We sincerely thank every donor and GlobalGiving for your generous support. Your contribution of $32.37 USD helped us maintain essential internet connectivity, ensuring effective project coordination, communication, beneficiary engagement, and continued implementation activities.

Although the funding was modest, it has enabled us to remain connected and continue serving vulnerable communities. Through our internal social enterprise, volunteerism, and community outreach, we remain committed to building a more inclusive society where persons with physical disabilities have greater opportunities to live with dignity, independence, and hope.

With sincere gratitude,
