The tornado hit East Nashville on March 3, 2020, just weeks before the pandemic found itself in Nashville. Progress has been slow, but it's been happening. Most of the construction is either completed or close to being completed. Many families have moved back into their homes, and many are finding a new normal after the storm and through the pandemic.
Our high school programs have resumed, and for many of our students affected by the storms, it's been a welcomed change to their schedules. Our food bank remains the busiest across Davidson County. While many COVID restrictions have been lifted in our area, the food bank remains a drive-thru capacity.
We are slowly returning to a new "normal" and with those changes, tornado repairs and rebuilding are happening faster. We're so grateful for continued support, even when we're not the current news story. Tornado damage is lasting. Thank you for recognizing that.
