It is always exciting when a new container ships out to empower vocational graduates with the tools for success. Due to the Hurricane damage in Haiti, the Salesian Missions requested that we do not ship to them. With all the Hurricane relief going into Haiti, it would be too time consuming and costly to ship to them right now. So they decided to ship this one to their vocational school in The Dominican Republic instead. The DR school administration was real happy with the tools and equipment they received.
The future of the Tools For Empowerment project includes shipping to Latin America and The Caribbean. We are planning the expansion of this project from local to Regional in its scope. This will enable us to ship more containers to more places.
