Young vocational graduates will soon have a set of tools to empower them to earn a living. Their families will have the income to eat better and improve their lifestyle.
Graduating students are excited because they know Tools For Empowerment will soon ship a container of tools to Haiti, for them. We have had volunteers cleaning and packing tools regularly. We have already loaded and wrapped 4 pallets so things are progressing nicely.
When sending handsaws, we clean and sharpen them so they work like new. Tools For Empowerment was able to purchase the only old saw-sharpening machine available. It’s actually a set of three machines – one that cuts new teeth, one that sets the teeth properly and one that sharpens the saw. It does a much nicer job than hand sharpening and the new saw owners are very happy with them.
Sending trade tools may not be a very “sexy” project but it’s a very practical approach to improving the lives of families in developing countries. Please be generous in your donation and help change lives with the tools for success.
