By Jenni Lipa | President CCDO
CCDO is so proud of our Tools & Seeds beneficiaries. They have all planted, then watered and seen their crops grow and flourish. It is soon time to harvest the crops and start the cycle again after Khmer New Year.
Some of the produce collected has helped feed our school breakfast program and the rest of the crops have been sold at market and to certain hotels.
The families have been very diligent with their farming. Our favorite famer waters with two watering cans at once.
The kids were roped into action at school and planted their gardens in February and have already started seeing results.
The success of this program has prompted our Executive Director, Leasngseng Hoy, to create similar gardens in a neighboring commune with 10 new villages. We belive in a hand up and not a hand out. The growth of the local vegetables is the prooof.
Thanks to all our donors who make this possible.
