Hi everyone!
I returned from my leave in the USA to a very happy sight: construction is almost finished on the toilet facilities at Mang'ula Primary School!
Upon this most recent site visit, the buildings had been erected, and plumbing and electricity had been installed. All of the toilets and urinals had been installed, except for the disabled toilet, which the contractor is still working on.
Other than completing the disabled toilet, left to be completed were the following tasks: connecting pipes from the toilets to the septic tank; and, completing the painting and other finishing touches.
I am headed out next week for another site visit, so look out for another update then! The contractor tells me he is already working on the painting and finishing touches, so I am expecting a nearly complete project.
Thank you all again for helping to make this happen! You are the reason that the students of Mang'ula will have sanitary, working toilets in their school. You are helping to improve school attendance and student health. You are making a difference!
