By Mary Elizabeth (Emmy) Pritchard | Manager, KCCT
Hi all,
I am pleased to announce that Kilombero Community Charitable Trust (KCCT) signed a contract with JEKC Construction Company Limited for the construction of the toilet facilities at Mang'ula Primary School on 17 August 2015. JEKC was chosen after a rigorous tender evaluation process, involving a company Civil Engineer from Kilombero Sugar Company, and the KCCT Board of Trustees.
Construction has begun, and is due to be completed at the end of October.
Yesterday, Alice Libenanga (Division Officer for Mang'ula and Member of the KCCT Board of Trustees) and I made a site visit to the school. The contractor is currently waiting on a delivery of high quality bricks. He has found that the sand in the Mang’ula area is not conducive to mixing his own. This will not affect the project completion time.
Alice and I are satisfied with progress so far, and we look forward to our next site visit.
Stay tuned for more updates and pictures!
