Update for our generous donors:
Thanks to the extra money we raised on top of our funding goal, we are now able to build: three toilets for girls, two toilets and a urinal for boys, and a special toilet for the disabled students at Mang'ula Primary School. All toilets will be flushing, and the toilet facilities will have electricity.
The design of the new facilities, as well as the brilliant idea to use the extra funds for a toilet for the disabled students and to connect to the grid, is thanks to Civils Engineer Msafiri Kivilagwa of Kilombero Sugar Company, Limited (KSCL). KSCL and their staff have regularly lended their time and expertise to KCCT since our founding. We cannot thank Msafiri enough for his time and effort, and his helpful ideas.
Attached is a picture of Msafiri meeting with the school teachers on our most recent site visit. The project will be put to tender this week, and we will select a contractor next week (July 15th). Shortly after that we will break ground! Also attached is the new design drawing.
Thank you again for all of your support, and please keep checking the site for updates!
