As we move into 2026, the need for early and continuous education for children with autism remains critical. Globally, 1 in children is at risk of being born with autism. In Türkiye, more than 2 million people are estimated to be on the autism spectrum, yet only a small proportion of children are able to access education.
Through this project, Tohum Autism Foundation continues to provide scholarship-supported, evidence-based special education for children with autism whose families face financial barriers. At our Support Education Unit, children benefit from individualized education programs delivered by trained special education professionals.
During this reporting period, USD 849 was raised through donor contributions. These funds support the continuity of education for children currently enrolled in our programs.
Looking ahead to 2026, our priority is to expand access to education for more children at our Support Education Unit and to extend our impact beyond our center by reaching schools and education stakeholders across Türkiye. By strenghening collaboration and knowledge sharing, we aim to support more children with autism throughout their educational journey.
With the continued support of our donors, we remain committed to reducing educational inequalities and building a more inclusive future for children with autism and their families.
