16 YEARS TRANSFORMING LIVES IN MANZANARES Since 2010, at Manos en Accion (Hands in Action), we have worked with commitment and passion to build a better future for more than 1,200 children and 200 vulnerable adults in Manzanares and the surrounding areas. We have three centers where, day after day, we promote programs in education, nutrition, psycho-emotional support, and sports, with the goal of strengthening the communities where we work and providing real opportunities for development.
Nutritional vulnerability and lack of opportunities in childhood. In the current socioeconomic context of Argentina, thousands of children face serious difficulties accessing basic, healthy, and consistent nutrition. Food insecurity not only affects their immediate physical growth but also creates a gap in their cognitive and educational development, limiting their opportunities to thrive and perpetuating the cycle of poverty. These children and their families cannot break this cycle alone.
The solution lies in collective action and sustained commitment. Through strategic alliances with major donors, businesses, and monthly sponsors, we transform financial contributions into nutritious meals, educational workshops, and daily support for over 1200 children. By channeling monthly contributions, we ensure the operation of our large-scale soup kitchens, optimizing every resource so that food reaches the tables of those who need it most, directly efficiently, and transparently.
The impact of ensuring a meal today goes far beyond simply satisfying hunger; it's a direct investment in the community's future. In the long run, a well-nourished child is a child who can study, learn a trade, and reach their full potential. By guaranteeing their nutritional and educational foundation, we achieve the following:Reduced school dropout rates and improved academic performance.
