We all want a better world. But no one can change things alone. To accelerate change we must enable more changemakers to be part of our transformative events that build bridges and share learning to create better, faster change. We want to share our learning more widely, and include people who without bursary support could never attend. You can support champions of indigenous rights, volunteers combatting sex traffic, frontline conservationists. Your support can be truly life-changing.
Many changemakers desperate for knowledge simply can't afford to attend IFC. Often they are volunteers. Often from very small causes. We must support them. The need is immense. In the past we have seen 30-100 applications for every available bursary. We are determined to include at IFC more people, more cultures, more voices. We do this not merely to share expertise, but so that our entire community is enriched with the new perspectives that new voices bring.
Our ambition stretches way beyond this initial appeal. We want at least 10% of all IFC participants to join us through bursaries within two years. And that will mean a global community of changemakers better equipped to create change. A full bursary package enables someone to attend, covers travel, and provides mentoring to ensure they can make the most of what they learn.
In a word: change. We know of IFC participants who have raised many millions and created immense change thanks to their personal and professional development at IFC. To demonstrate the impact you help someone make, you'll get first-hand feedback. Let's be clear, this is not merely about giving a gift; it's about investing in the potential of brave, committed, resilient and resourceful changemakers worldwide.
