First of all, please accept our sincere apology for the delay in this project report. Our office was closed for an extended period during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday in Vietnam — the most important and longest holiday of the year — and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Just before Tet arrived, we received $1,685.31 USD from your generous contributions through GlobalGiving. At a time when many families were preparing for the holiday, 24 dialysis patients at Thu Duc Regional General Hospital were quietly worrying about something far more urgent than celebrations — how they would afford their next life-sustaining treatment session.

Dialysis is not optional. It is not something that can be postponed until finances improve. For these 24 patients, treatment is required several times a week to stay alive.

Although Vietnam’s health insurance covers most of the cost, each patient must still pay up to 20% of treatment fees and additional expenses not covered by insurance. This amounts to approximately 400,000 to 3,000,000 VND per month — not including transportation, meals, and lost income. For families already living on the edge of poverty, this is an overwhelming burden.

Thanks to your kindness, all funds received were used to support the dialysis costs of these 24 patients before Tet.  Because of you, their care was not interrupted.

"When I received the support, I felt lighter in my heart. I knew I could continue treatment without borrowing money during Tet."

Your generosity was more than financial support. It was relief. It was dignity. It was hope at a time when hope was deeply needed.
