Report for second supporting
Project name: Save women and children during Covid-19 pandemic
Result: Project activities save women and children during Covid-19 pandemichas been continues to help community members affected by Covid-19 in 2 communities (group 5 and group 6). Apparently, for the second time, the team UPWD and POCD facilitated 2 community meetings on June2,2022. A total of 23 members (6 males) participated. The meeting discussed on family planning after Covid-19, awareness of new diseases and protection of women's and children's health care. Afterwards, first aid (rice) was distributed to the families who were suffering from starvation, families who had been infected Covid-19 the past and the families who lost their income completely. This program has facilitated families, women, especially children, have food and can participate in other programs very well. They also have specific plans for each family to rebuild their lives after a long period of time. Covid-19 past.

Activities and achievement
- Emergency Support : Emergency assistance activities for save women and children during Covid-19 pandemic in the community are organized at two community (Veal Sbov community and Srey Khleang Saing). 96 families with 672 members (260 females and 230 children) received 15 kg of rice,4 bars of soap and masks per family. This supported helps families during and after face food shortage, and practiced regular personal hygiene.
- Awareness activities: 100 family members from 2 communities (Veal Sbov and Srey Khleang Saing) participated in a awareness on hygiene and sanitation, Covid-19 prevention2 times. Through awareness, we found that most members practices hygiene frequently. However, we found that members still face with lack of income, health service and more mental health. Their livelihoods will continue to linger in the face of the economic crisis, despite the situation Covid-19 relieved. This case UPWD has been working with them to develop family planning and community plan to discuss with relevant stake holders, especially local authorities to responding.
- Reflection activity: A reflection was conducted in December,2021 with community leaders and UPWD’s staff (total member 24, women 20). As result, UPWD have been success implemented 60% of activities planed during Covid-19, beside this 40% had change to Covid-19 responding and move to the year 2022.
