Premature Babies Lack Access to Life-Saving Care

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Tiny Warriors: Lifesaving Kits for Premature Babies project. Your contribution reflects care for newborns fighting for survival and the families supporting them. However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the planned hospital support activities.

Premature birth remains a serious challenge, especially in low-resource settings where hospitals often lack adequate equipment and families struggle with the cost of care. Many newborns face complications such as breathing difficulty, infection, and inability to maintain body temperature.

Without timely support, these babies are at high risk, and many families are left overwhelmed by both emotional and financial pressure.

This project is designed to provide Tiny Warrior Lifesaving Kits to babies receiving care in neonatal units. The kits include essential items for warmth, hygiene, and feeding. The project will also support hospitals with needed equipment and provide limited financial assistance to families during this critical period.

With the right support, more premature babies can receive proper care, improving their chances of survival and recovery.

We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this program and reach newborns who need urgent care.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
Project Leader
