93% of the poor are unemployed and marginalized. We must change this situation. The POETA-COPEME Project is helping to make this situation change in Lambaqueye in Peru. The Project will benefit directly to 100 young people who have physicals and sensorial discapacity, through of an inclusive experience by means of courses of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CorelDraw oriented to business and courses of entrepreneurship. Focused to giving services to the demands in technology of information.
In the Peru, according the OMS calculate that there are 2.5 million of persons with some discapacity, that is according these estimates the 10% of Peruvian population has some disability and approximately the 76% of they are in inactivity(unemployed). the disabled with low resources are the persons more excluded in Peruvian society, as they do not achieve opportunities to form and find an employment. They young people with discapacity face many challenges for can participate in the society.
The Project have 5 years and is the only center of support for the disabled in the north from Peru and has achieved that more of 1000 young people training. 75% of they have one employment or one self-employment, wherefore this project will provide to the young people with disability specific modules and training effective with the support of Microsoft who only they allow us use their tools and certify to the beneficiary without cost.
The project look for to support 100 disabled in changing their life and get a job and income for better the quality of life of them and of their family, also search involved the business community, to the civil society and public organization to be more sensitive with this problematic, thus achieving one support directly active.
