Machete Project Update

Your support for the Machete Project has given a big boost to our efforts to restore forests through a digital platform that connects youth with farmers and promotes farmer-assisted natural regeneration. Thank you!

We are in the final stretch of the Machete Project platform with the programmers and website designers doing the final testing before its launch this year. We will launch it in Central America to start. Included here are some screen shots of the platform to give you a sense of its interface.

At the same time, members of our team are participating in the Assisted Natural Regeneration Practitioner Training Course 2026, a course offered by the Nature for Learning Hub. The team members who received this training will help to lead the first pilots of this software.

p.s. due to limited rainfall in Central America this rainy season which is being affected by the El Nino Climate event, direct reforestation activities are on hold and our focus is on assisted natural regeneration
