First Convocation at our Inclusive Skills Centre

By Dipak Basu | Founder

The centre we recently opened, in partnership with Capgemini, held its first convocation ceremony recently, celebrating a batch of graduates completing their digital skills training.

For most students in that room, the certificate they received was the first formal recognition they had ever been given, not as someone defined by a disability, but as a professional ready for work. Months of learning and persistence led to this one day.

Parents sat alongside their children. For many families, this moment reversed years of doubt about whether their child would ever hold a job or live independently. Watching a son or daughter called up by name, handed a certificate, and welcomed by an employer changed what that future looked like, from a worry carried quietly for years to a plan already underway.

Senior leaders from Capgemini and Anudip attended, along with representatives from companies that have already hired graduates from this centre. Their presence made clear what the certificate stood for. It was not the end of a course. It was the start of a job.

The graduates leaving this centre are not stepping into an uncertain market alone. They move into partner companies already engaged with the program, carrying mentorship and placement support from classroom into workplace. For young people once told the mainstream economy had no place for them, that path is no longer a hope. It is underway.

None of this would have been possible without your support. Every donation to this project funded the learning, mentorship and placement work that brought these graduates to this stage.

We will continue sharing their journeys with you. This batch is only the beginning.
