Inaugural Program : OLATPUR, Orissa, India

By Dipak Basu | Founder

In a significant step toward promoting inclusive education and employment, Anudip Foundation and AADI inaugurated a new SAVE (Skills and Vocational Education) Centre at SVNIRTAR, Olatpur, alongside a Mega Job Fair exclusively for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The event marked a milestone in Anudip’s continued efforts to create equitable livelihood opportunities for differently-abled youth through skill development and job linkage.

Key Highlights

  • Inauguration Ceremony:
The event began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Mr. Tanmay Mukherjee, Vice President – Operations, Anudip Foundation, and Dr. P. P. Mohanty, Director, SVNIRTAR.
The SAVE Centre was officially inaugurated to extend Anudip’s specialized training and career readiness programs for PWD students.

  • Leadership Addresses:

    • Mr. Tanmay Mukherjee shared Anudip’s vision for the SAVE initiative, emphasizing its mission to empower persons with disabilities through targeted skill training and access to sustainable employment.

    • Dr. P. P. Mohanty outlined SVNIRTAR’s ongoing services for PWDs and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations that strengthen inclusion through education and technology.

  • Job Fair Outcomes:
The Mega Job Fair saw active participation from candidates and engagement from 6 reputed employers from Bhubaneswar.
Through multiple interview rounds and skill assessments, several candidates were successfully selected for job placements—marking a transformative moment in their professional journeys.

Impact and Way Forward

The inauguration of the SAVE Centre at SVNIRTAR represents a collaborative commitment to enabling self-reliance among persons with disabilities. By integrating skill-building with direct employment pathways, Anudip continues to advance its mission of bridging the gap between ability and opportunity.
The success of this initiative sets a strong precedent for scaling similar inclusive training centres across regions, empowering more PWDs to achieve economic independence and dignity through work.
