Community Preparedness Workshop in Thessaly
As part of the Thessaly Flood Relief project, Emfasis Foundation organized a community awareness and preparedness workshop in Mouzaki, Thessaly, a region heavily affected by floods.
The event brought together local residents for an open discussion on climate-related risks, disaster preparedness, and the importance of prevention. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, ask questions, and learn practical ways to strengthen their community's resilience to future natural disasters.
The workshop featured climate governance expert Iliana Georgiou, who led the discussion and addressed participants' questions on disaster risk reduction and community resilience.
Beyond emergency response, this activity reflects our long-term commitment to helping flood-affected communities recover by strengthening local knowledge, preparedness, and resilience. Every informed citizen contributes to building a safer and more resilient future for Thessaly.
Thank you for making initiatives like this possible through your generous support.
