Project Report | Sep 3, 2025
Half time report 2025

By Sara Rodriguez | Partnerships Director

During the first half of 2025, Fundación Tiempo de Juego continued to strengthen its programs, reaching more children and youth through sports, arts, and life skills development. A total of 1,015 participants were actively involved in our regional programs, 745 in Soacha and 270 in Santa Marta, while another 1,191 participants joined our Learning by Playing programs in Cali, Puerto Tejada, Bogotá, and other regions of the country.

We also reinforced our high-performance programs in soccer and athletics. In athletics, 18 athletes trained and competed regularly, developing their physical, mental, and emotional skills with the dual purpose of building solid life projects and pursuing their sporting aspirations. A milestone this semester was the First Regional Kids Athletics Festival, “Kids Athletics Pro”, held on May 8 in Funza, Cundinamarca, where 25 of our participants earned top positions in categories from U8 to U18. Likewise, on May 10, we organized basketball exchange matches in Soacha with 20 participants from Tiempo de Juego and athletes from the Soacha Sports Institute training schools, boosting technical development, empowerment, and the first steps into competitive pathways.

In soccer, the Cazucá Fútbol Club continues to grow, with 36 girls and 24 boys actively competing in the Torneo Super Campeones and the Bogotá League, proving that teamwork and commitment are key to overcoming challenges and achieving success.

Beyond sports, our programs also foster environmental and cultural leadership. In Santa Marta, we successfully carried out the third edition of La Bulla Verde, a project that promotes environmental awareness while strengthening children’s cultural roots. Meanwhile, in Soacha, we continue implementing CLANES, offering free artistic training and safe spaces for creativity to flourish.

All of these achievements are possible thanks to the support of our allies, and especially GlobalGiving, which helps us raise our voice and amplify the power of play. Still, there are many more children waiting for safe spaces, for opportunities to learn, dream, and grow. With your continued support, we can keep expanding these programs and proving that there are no impossible matches when we play as a team.
