At SECHILD, every quarter is an opportunity to continue providing consistent care, therapy, and support to children living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. While there were no major infrastructure or program changes during this reporting period, we are encouraged by the steady progress made through our ongoing interventions and the continued resilience of the children in our care.

Therapy and Child Development

Therapy services remained a central part of our work throughout the quarter. Through regular physiotherapy and daily care routines, many of the children continue to show gradual improvements in mobility, posture, responsiveness, and overall well-being.

For children with severe disabilities, progress often comes in small but meaningful steps. The consistency of therapy sessions and individualized care has helped maintain and improve functional abilities while enhancing comfort and quality of life.

New Admissions

This quarter, we welcomed new children into the SECHILD family. Each child undergoes a careful transition process designed to provide emotional security, medical attention, and personalized support as they adjust to their new environment.

The growing number of children requiring specialized care highlights the ongoing need for services that support vulnerable children with disabilities and their families.

Strengthening Family Engagement

One of the most significant developments this quarter was the introduction of our monthly Visiting Day, held on the last Saturday of every month.

This initiative was created to strengthen relationships between children and their families while encouraging parents and guardians to remain actively involved in their children's lives. Visiting Day provides families with an opportunity to observe progress, spend meaningful time with their children, and maintain a sense of connection and responsibility.

We believe that stronger family engagement contributes positively to the emotional well-being of the children and helps address the challenge of parental abandonment often faced by children with disabilities.

Challenges and Urgent Needs

Despite the progress recorded this quarter, inadequate funding remains our greatest challenge.

The cost of providing specialized care for children with complex disabilities continues to increase. Daily feeding, therapy services, medical care, caregiver support, transportation, and facility maintenance require significant financial resources.

Additional funding is essential to help us sustain existing services, meet the needs of newly admitted children, and continue improving the quality of care we provide.

Looking Ahead

In the coming quarter, we will continue prioritizing consistent therapy, quality caregiving, and family engagement. We also remain committed to expanding our capacity to reach more children who require specialized support and a safe, nurturing environment.
