Dear valued donors,

We are moved to give you report from SECHILD’s project aimed at providing therapy and residential care for 50 children with disabilities in Nigeria. Your support has enabled us to make incredible impact in delivering effective therapy sessions that are saving the children and helping them get better.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Physiotherapy Sessions: Our intensive therapy sessions have shown evident result in the lives of our children. A heartwarming success story is that of Mmesoma who, after much perseverance, now has the sense of holding things and mobility with support. This achievement is more than just physical progress, it represents hope and a future filled with possibilities.

Occupational Therapy Sessions: Through tailored occupational therapy, we have witnessed children taking their first steps towards independence, as a result of this, some of our children have improved greatly by eating, sitting, standing and even walking independently. Seeing the children’s face light up with joy as they experience newfound mobility is a testament to the power of your support.

Residency Care: In addition to therapy sessions, we have admitted three children within this period and cared for 35. These children receive round-the-clock support and a conducive environment for their overall development.

Individual Progress: Another inspiring story is of Precious Mentor, following from her previous development, Precious now responds very well to occupational therapy, the physiotherapist stated that in the early sessions of the therapy, she would cry through it but recently she has improved positively. This remarkable progress is a beacon of hope, illustrating what love, care, and dedicated therapy can achieve.

Also, the caregivers have been providing the basic in-house therapy sessions for the children, in order to maintain the improvements.

These stories are a reflection of the impact of our therapy programs. The progress made by these children shows the vital importance of our mission to provide comprehensive care and support to children with special needs. Each step forward is a victory not just for the child but for their families and for all of us who believe in their potential.

Your continued support is the cornerstone of our success. With your help, we can extend our reach, improve the quality of life for more children and bring hope to countless families. Together, we are not just supporting a cause, we are building a community of compassion and transformation.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for being a crucial part of our journey.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The SECHILD Team
