SECHILD's Quarterly Progress Report

By Kawan Aondofa-Anjira | Founder/President

Dear Valued Donors,

We are profoundly moved to share the latest updates from SECHILD’s project aimed at providing therapy and residency care for 50 children with disabilities in Nigeria. Your unwavering support has enabled us to make incredible strides in delivering comprehensive therapy programs that are not just changing lives but saving them.

Key Activities and Achievements:Physiotherapy Sessions: Our intensive physiotherapy sessions have brought miracles into the lives of our children. One heartwarming success story is that of Bemdoo who, after much perseverance, can now feed himself. This achievement is more than just physical progress; it represents hope and a future filled with possibilities.

Occupational Therapy Sessions: Through tailored occupational therapy, we have witnessed children taking their first steps towards independence. Two children Isaiah and Samuel have started taking steps with assistance. Seeing their faces light up with joy as they experience newfound mobility is a testament to the power of your support.

Residency Care:In addition to therapy sessions, we have admitted four children within this period and cared for 30. These children receive round-the-clock support and a conducive environment for their overall development.

Individual Progress: Another inspiring story is of Bemdoo who besides being able to feed himself, has begun taking a few steps independently. This remarkable progress is a beacon of hope, illustrating what love, care, and dedicated therapy can achieve.

These stories are a reflection of the transformative impact of our therapy programs. The progress made by these children underscores the vital importance of our mission to provide comprehensive care and support to children with special needs. Each step forward is a victory not just for the child but for their families and for all of us who believe in their potential.

Upcoming Events and Campaigns: We are excited to announce that GlobalGiving Bonus Day campaign will take place on July 10, 2024. This matching campaign is a unique opportunity to amplify the impact of your donations, doubling the difference we can make in the lives of these children. This is another opportunity for you to participate and help us reach our goal of providing therapy and residency care to 50 children.

Your continued support is the cornerstone of our success. With your help, we can extend our reach, improve the quality of life for more children, and bring hope to countless families. Together, we are not just supporting a cause; we are building a community of compassion and transformation.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for being a crucial part of our journey.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The SECHILD Team
