Over the past three months, The Virtues Project has continued to flourish and expand across the globe with dedication, enthusiasm, and a shared sense of purpose. Together, we are nurturing communities of character, compassion, and resilience through the transformative power of the Five Strategies.
We are joyfully witnessing ongoing workshops and facilitator trainings in North America, South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Parents, educators, community leaders, social service providers, mental health professionals, and faith leaders are experiencing how virtues-based practices awaken the best within themselves and others. New Facilitators are stepping forward with courage and commitment, and Master Facilitators are being recognized for their steadfast leadership.
In March, the International Advisory Council (IAC) was honored to host two enriching sessions for our global facilitator community. Held on March 18/19 and 25/26, each session welcomed approximately 45 participants from 22 countries. These dynamic gatherings included inspiring guest speakers, engaging breakout discussions, and reflective large-group conversations—deepening our collective insight and connection.
In April, we launched The Joy of Virtues WhatsApp community to bring Facilitators and Enthusiasts together in a space of joyful encouragement and daily inspiration. To spark engagement, a 21-Day Virtues Acknowledgements Challenge invited members to practice intentional recognition by sharing daily acknowledgements using virtues language. The energy, sincerity, and participation in this initiative truly embodied our shared spirit of unity and appreciation.
In Kenya, prison officials have warmly welcomed The Virtues Project, recognizing its potential as a pathway to healing and rehabilitation. One official wisely observed, “We can’t keep building more prisons. This program offers real hope for change.” Their receptiveness is a beacon of hope for a more restorative and compassionate justice system.
Widow groups in Kenya are demonstrating remarkable resilience and cooperation. By applying the virtues in practical ways, they are lifting themselves out of poverty. With income from renting out a community tent and preparations underway for a pig-rearing project, these women are cultivating sustainability and empowering one another through hard work, unity, and vision.
Through collaboration with community organizations, Virtues Project Fiji has trained six new Facilitators and acquired a computer to support ongoing training efforts. Guided by purpose and compassion, Fijian youth are reaching out to their peers—particularly those facing poverty and substance use—with kindness, understanding, and hope.
Our Virtues Project School Designation Program is approaching the end of its pilot phase. We are now in the process of reviewing valuable feedback from participating schools as we prepare for a formal launch later this year. This initiative will soon be open to schools around the world who aspire to create learning environments rooted in respect, responsibility, and excellence.
With gratitude, we celebrate the unity, love, and dedication that continue to shape our shared journey. Thank you for being a vital part of this growing global movement to awaken the virtues in every person.
