Hello Global Giving supporters! The Sustainable Culinary School is once again innovating in the name of breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering community members! The Sustainable Culinary School has launched a Doçura (“Sweetness”) project, where 15 students learn how to make sweets, jams, and appetizers. In partnership with the Federal University of Ceará and the Social Culinary Project, these amazing students had the opportunity to sell their wares at a major shopping center in Fortaleza, the Shopping Rio Mar Fortaleza. This opportunity brings greater visibility to the project and creates income for both the students and the project, contributing to the project’s sustainability.
Your support means more students like Ana Paula and Mariane will have the opportunity to build real professional skills and to feel purpose and dignity. Coming from a culture and a city that so often marginalizes and isolates the poor, students like Ana Paula and Mariane are experiencing a game changer for themselves and their families by being a part of the Sustainable Culinary School.
So a big obrigada (thank you) to all of you who make these transformations possible. This.is.real.social.change.
Sincerely,
Natasha (Development Volunteer)
