Feliz Ano Novo! Happy New Year!
To start 2019 off right, we wanted to share something special with you. In addition to photos for this report, you can see the Sustainable Culinary School in action by watching this video.
The Sustainable Culinary School is all about community and paying it forward. So recently, students of the culinary school (along with culinary professors from the Federal University of Ceará and MSMCBJ staff) taught kids how to cook! These kids are part of another MSMCBJ program called Sim à Vida, or Yes to Life. It's a program helping disadvantaged youth stay away from drugs and other negative influences, and get the support they need to live a healthy and long life. The kids got a chance to experience the Sustainable Culinary School for themselves and satisfy their sweet tooths! Yum. Watch them show off their culinary talents in this video.
Fun activities like these are about so much more than making cupcakes. They build community and in doing so, counter the generations of poverty, violence, and social isolation that keep so many from living full and healthy lives. MSMCBJ is dedicated to uplifting communities from within, and your support of the Sustainable Culinary School makes that possible!
Muito obrigada! Thank you very much!
