Mama Dragons supports, educates, and empowers more than 25,000 families of LGBTQ+ children through community, education, suicide prevention training, and advocacy resources. As we grow from a support network into a national movement, we're expanding outreach, partnerships, national awareness campaigns, and expansive educational programming to reach more families than ever before. This ' BIG PICTURE" campaign invests in the future of Mama Dragons and the next family searching for hope.
Too many families are navigating their child's LGBTQ+ identity alone. Parents often struggle to find trusted information, affirming support, and a community that understands their experience. At the same time, increasing misinformation, social division, and barriers to funding make it harder for organizations like Mama Dragons to reach the families who need help most. This campaign addresses that gap by building the capacity to connect more families with support, education, and resources.
This campaign will help Mama Dragons expand our national reach, connect more families to trusted support and education, strengthen partnerships with community organizations, and increase awareness of available resources. By investing in outreach, infrastructure, technology, and organizational capacity, we can ensure that more parents find hope, community, and evidence-based information before isolation, fear, or misinformation create lasting harm for families and LGBTQ+ youth.
We believe lasting change begins with one family. When a parent learns to support and affirm their LGBTQ+ child, suicide risk drops dramatically and families stay connected.
