With the growing number of cases of individuals affected by the outbreak of a Novel Coronavirus in several countries including the Philippines, Childhope Philippines is on the ground working to protect their street children beneficiaries and their families who are very susceptible to the harmful disease.
The effect of a huge scope of outbreak on children, particularly poor and helpless kids, would be massive. Children are at risk from the disease, yet also the disruption to health and education services, impacts on parental figures, and separation from family members.
Childhope Philippines is helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by supplying vital clinical and hygiene supplies (such as mask, alcohol, and vitamins), hospitalization assistance, and educating street children through implementing prevention campaigns. Our priority is to stop the spread of this new virus to children and families in street situations.
How your donation helps
Childhope Philippines has been working closely since the onset of the outbreak. Our actions to prevent the spread of the disease have included launching handwashing campaigns through alternative learning sessions to improve preventative practices among street children.
Childhope Philippines is providingessential hygiene materials for hundreds of street children under their care (such as masks, alcohol, and vitamins); assistance in hospitalization and on laboratory exams; and and educating children on the street by implementing prevention campaigns support with health education messaging. Just 10$ could help provide one complete set of hygiene kits to a street child, while $20 could help provide vitamins and medicines to help prevent the spread of disease.
And since the whole Metro Manila is under the extreme community quarantine,Childhope Philippines also helping their street children beneficiaries including their families affected by the CoVid-19 outbreak by providing them with relief goods to reduce their burden of finding a way to eat food amid during the crisis. For just 20$, you could provide one-week food supply for one street family.
