Our founder and guiding spirit is feeling better everyday and will return to teaching after a 5 month break this coming Monday, the 19th of June! We are all very excited to see her in good spirits and getting around by herself.
All of the support she has received during her recovery is deeply appreciated!
Over that period of time we continued to grow as and educational center, and while we cannot use Proper and Surnames on this platform, the son, daughter-in-law, and especially her cousin, have stepped up to the task of leading our flagship education program Samá.
As the dry season begins and the winds of San Juan bring chilly Antarctic air to the region we are so greatful to have our full team of educators back again.
Additionally, the website for The Jakon Rate Center for Shipibo-Konibo Studies JAKONRATE.ORG was finally launched on May 30th, our 4th anniversary as an association!
We appreciate all your support in making this possible, especially our past and new recurring donors! Please make a donation now to help continue our guiding vision of her dream to see the current and following generations thrive with the wisdom of her ancestors.
Jakon nete kanoya! / The life-giving good essence of creation is with you all!
