The Project will Create a youth space(The HUB) in Mabushi where 200 underserved youths from Mabushi Village, and other urban slums in Abuja will be trained in computer and entrepreneurial skills with a focus on digital Jobs.
over 70% of Abuja's population lives in slums or poor areas of towns. these slums include Utako Village,mabushi,, Garki village, gishiri, Mpape, to mention a few. unlike other settlement, Mabushi Village, utako village, Garki village,jabi village and Gishiri are a few of the urban settlement with about 12,000 dweller. There are over 3,000 dwellers in the Mabushi village alone living on less than 15 acres of land in shanties and makeshift buildings. Most of the dwellers are young men and women
The Project will Create a youth space(The HUB) in Mabushi where underserved youths from the urban Slums in Abuja will be trained in ICT and Governance and Development program. This platform will Create a conducive learning environment around the slums where learning will be fun Develop their capacity to participate in democratic process Increase their employability by building their ICT skills . Introduce the young people to Digital job there by creating Job opportunities
-At the end of one year, at least, 200 people trained while 50 young person get Jobs or start their own businesses
