The GoDown Arts Center will reach 2,000 youth, ages 14-18, through screenings of 'He Named Me Malala' in partnership with schools and community partners in Kenya.
Over 60 million girls worldwide are missing out on education. Young women are not always aware of the power of their collective voices to influence local leaders to address this issue as it pertains to their community.
This project will raise awareness and enhance public participation in the call for gender equality in education.
Enhance confidence and agency, especially among girls and young women, to participate in influencing action for their right to a full education. Create general awareness around gender equality in education as an important national issue.
