We are pleased to share that work to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in schools across five districts in Sierra Leone is moving forward. Although donations through GlobalGiving are still beginning, implementation has continued through the support of our partners, including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Together, we have reached over 1000 school children across three chiefdoms in Kambia District
Together, we are reaching communities step by step, strengthening school environments so children, especially girls; can learn safely and with dignity. Current efforts focus on engaging communities and building the capacity of caretakers and School Management Committees to maintain WASH facilities for long-term sustainability.
Preparations are also underway for the distribution of handwashing kits and dignity support for girls, alongside sustained life-skills training that promotes hygiene awareness and confidence among students.
Your future support through GlobalGiving will help us expand this work to more schools and accelerate impact across all target districts. Thank you for standing with us as we continue improving learning environments, one community at a time.
