This project is dedicated to transforming the lives of deaf children by supporting their journey to hearing through cochlear implants and comprehensive hearing health care. While we are still in the early stages of fundraising for this specific initiative, we remain committed to our mission and have made encouraging strides through related efforts.
Although this campaign has only raised $9 to date, we are deeply grateful for every contribution. Each dollar is a symbol of hope and a step closer to changing a child’s life forever.
Behind every statistic is a child — a little boy or girl who has never heard their mother's voice or the laughter of friends. The silence they live in is not just the absence of sound, but the absence of connection, belonging, and opportunity.
While we have not yet been able to allocate the $9 specifically due to minimum thresholds for medical expenses, our broader outreach and partner funding have already enabled several deaf children to receive the gift of hearing and access vital rehabilitation services.
These successes reaffirm the life-changing impact of cochlear implants and highlight the importance of this campaign.
The reality remains that many profoundly deaf children across Southern Africa still await life-changing surgery. Public healthcare cannot fully meet the need, and without financial support in the private sector, these children remain isolated in silence. Every contribution fills this critical gap.
We remain optimistic. With continued outreach, awareness efforts, and your support, we aim to reach new donors and increase the campaign’s visibility — ultimately leading to funding another surgery through cumulative donations and expanding our impact to more children awaiting the gift of hearing.
