FOURTH QUARTER REPORT  2024 FROM CONSORTIUM

Our contexts: The persistence of armed conflicts in DRC is the basis for the increase in thousands of orphaned children, cases of sexual violence against women/girls, population displacement, food insecurity and poverty in many households. Access to health care also remains a challenge.

Assignment: Contribute to the reconstruction of the broken hearts and lives of victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters in the African Great Lakes region by giving them hope of becoming themselves, capable of working to take charge of themselves far from armed conflicts and violence.

Place of execution of activities: DR Congo)

Education

During this fourth quarter we supervised the children at their respective schools, 100% of the children received classes in the first period of primary and secondary school .  We have added two orphans who were on the waiting list to the education project and have paid the school fees and school tools  for each of them, thanks to your donations.

2.Security situation in the African Great Lakes Region

The war is intensifying in the East of the DRC, particularly in North Kivu, between the M23 rebels and the FARDC, the number of orphans and displaced persons continues to increase every day. We are considering making an appeal for funds to support the displaced persons who are in the displaced persons camp in Goma.
