Casa Aladina will be the rst comprehensive day support centre in Europe for children with cancer, their families and survivors. With a budget of €15 million, fully funded by Aladina, the construction of the centre, located on a 15,000 m2 site, will represent a paradigm shift in the care and support provided to children with cancer, as well as to their parents and siblings.
Why is The Aladina Home so important?
Childhood cancer is a long-term illness that deeply impacts children and their families on many levels, requiring comprehensive support far beyond medical treatment.
A Unique Space for Families: The Aladina Home will provide a magical environment where children, parents, and siblings can access therapies, activities,and emotional support tailored to their needs—away from the clinical setting of a hospital.
Bridging the Gap in Care: As pediatric patients spend less time in hospitals and more time at home, they lose acces to many of the beneficial programs offered during hospitalization. The Aladina Home will fill this gap, ensuring continued care and support.
Expanding Aladina’s Impact: The Aladina Home will allows to grow our current programs, offering innovative therapies, activities, and services that help families cope and thrive throughout the cancer journey.
Support Beyond the Hospital: Outside hospitals, the are no specific services for childhood cancer. survivors, siblings, or parents. The Aladina Home will provide ongoing care for these groups, including bereavement support for families who have lost a child.
A Lifeline for Families: The Aladina Home will be a place where families can find connection, strenght and hope—ensuring no family faces this journey alone.
