794 Endosulfan victims are in very bad physical and mental conditions with multiple disorders due to endosulfan pesticide tragedy (which is somewhat similar to Bhopal Gas tragedy). Most of the care givers/bread earners for these families are daily wage earners & are located in interior rural villages. COVID-19 pandemic followed by long lockdown had worsened their conditions & are deprived of essential humanitarian support at this tough time and need dry ration & other nonfood essentials support.
1. 794 Endosulfan affected families' life has been collapsed by COVID-19 lockdown as the bread earners of the family are daily wage workers and now they don't have any work. 2. Lack of support due to lockdown further aggravated their mental and physical illness. 3. They are in urgent need of humanitarian support like food and non-food essentials as an immediate response to this unprecedented situation for the survival of these families.
1. 794 endosulfan affected families will get basic required food items and non-food essentials sufficient for one month at their doorsteps. 2. This will give strong support to overcome their discomforts during the lockdown. 3. It will reduce their financial burden and boost confidence.
1. Basic food and non-food essentials for one month will affect positively to uplift their life from all discomforts. 2. With this support and health services (Existing Mobile Medical Services to their doorsteps given by SCODWES ) will boost their mental and physical health so that they will be able to face the situation by themselves. 3. It will show a path for them to link to other such sources for humanitarian support and alternative livelihood opportunities as well.
