Since 2013 we've educated 900+ children, equipped 770+ coaches, & created 30 jobs, but more important than the numbers are the names & experiences behind them. We're a diverse family united around a love for education, sport, & transformation; these first 10 years have exceeded our wildest dreams, & we invite you to help propel training4changeS into the next decade of changemaking.
The World Bank rates South Africa the world's most unequal country, Stellenbosch it's most unequal town. Injustice, violence and discrimination are rife. There are insufficient safe spaces for children. Adverse living conditions negatively impact physical health and mental well-being. This toxic environment devastates learning potential. Crippled by a historically broken system, less than 50% of South African children make it to high school graduation. Youth unemployment is over 64%.
Over the last 10 years we've pioneered inclusive safe spaces for quality education. Our innovative blend of individualised research-based academic support, Africa's 1st accredited Purposeful Play curriculum for Education Outside the Classroom, high-level futsal coaching, and mentorship has demonstrated impact. The futsal pitch affords us space to build the relationships and trust required to drive sustainable change. We cocreate pathways to a brighter future for participants and their families.
Your support will help propel us into the next decade of creating safe spaces to educate and equip changemakers. We will create pathways for our participants that will prepare them for further education and employment, nurture long-term relationships over each individual's lifetime, create a pipeline of employment and volunteer opportunities, as well as empower each individual for leadership and active responsible citizenship.
