Hey there, amazing supporters of Colibríes Home!
We're thrilled to bring you an update on the incredible activities that have been happening at Colibríes Home during the past few months. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on the absolute success of our "Cooking Class" and how it's been making a positive impact on the lives of these incredible kids.
Every Thursday, we gather the kids for our Cooking Class. Our main goal? To teach them how to cook like little master chefs, but more importantly, to encourage their independence and self-confidence in the kitchen. One of the most important things we focus on is promoting a balanced diet. We want these children to know the importance of eating right and enjoying a variety of foods. So, we dive into discussions about nutrition and show them how to incorporate different ingredients into their creations.
The Cooking Class also gives these children the chance to explore their cultural heritage through food. We believe that connecting with their roots is vital, so we teach them how to whip up delicious dishes from their own cultures.
We want to give a huge shout-out to Mensajeros de la Paz España. Their recent donation has made such a difference on this Class! We received lunch boxes and various cooking supplies for the kids to use. With their help, we've equipped our kitchen with top-notch tools and equipment. Thanks to these supplies, the kids can experiment, create, and unleash their inner chefs. The kitchen has become their playground!
