TELECENTER FOR 2500 GIRLS PROTECTION IN TOROTORO

Since February of this year, our project team has performed the following activities and results:

• Organization of the group of teenage girls called "Tika Munasqa" (Beloved flower in Quechua) in the Municipality of Torotoro, consisting of nearly 50 girls from the town and rural communities, which will be the group leader of the project;

• We achieve the Torotoro Mayor's commitment to support and be partner of the project and ensure its sustainability in the medium and long term;

• The issue of infrastructure for the Telecentre is determined either by the Municipal Government and/or the Community Cultural Center of Torotoro, who have ensured their contribution to this effect;

• During the last July we conducted a fundraising campaign through piggies placed in strategic locations in the city of Cochabamba - Bolivia, with satisfactory results;

• For this month, we begin a new campaign by selling a collection of nine films of Charles Chaplin, specially edited for the "Girl Effect" campaign. We will use social networks like Facebook and others.
