In the autumn semester of 2022, we continue to do the work of health and hygiene education and provide services for the migrant children on our project. From September to November, we did optometry checkups for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students of the project partner schools. Totally, 869 students received the checkups.
We also provided teaching video for parner schools' teachers to teach puberty health lessons to the 3rd and 4th grade students. The lesson included what girls and boys would experience during the period of puberty, and what hygiene issues they should pay attention to, so that they would feel relax and know what to do when they face these body changes.
We provided personal hygiene and health lessons to the first grade students. As the lowest grade students, they more urgently need support to form good hygiene and health habits. We designed a serial of lessons for both the parents and the students to learn.
