Dear Friends and Supporters,
The first of the five financial training workshops for women groups in Fako Division, Cameroon, took place as planned in Buea Subdivision on May 16 and 17, 2014 at the Buea Cultural Center ( Near Regional Delegation for Women empowerment and family promotion). Eighteen women from ten women groups took part in the training session. They were schooled by five facilitators from Limbe, Buea and Yaounde’ on:
Day one- How to manage Accounts & Finances in women groups, how to develop and update the Financial Management Policy of the group, Group Managing Bank Transactions and , Group Maintaining Cash Book.
Day two - Objectives and Procedures for Purchases in Groups, How to maintain Stock and assets Register, How to develop Financial Planning and Budgeting, How to develop Financial Reports in groups, internal control and Audit of groups, Asset management and, Action plan for financial management.
Mobilising resources for these workshops has not been easy. We are grateful to Girl Effect Fund of Global Giving USA for their continued support in impacting our community girls and women in need.
