Jewish, Muslim & Christian youth from Israel's periphery and participants of the nationwide Net@ Youth Tech movement will join together for an Expertise Summer Camp for 5 days. The Camp will focus on 3 main expertise tracks that they will utilize over a three year period: Youth Instructor track, Entrepreneurship track & Computer Lab Technician track. Participants will gain the necessary skills to achieve success in the program & catapult them into hi-tech success in the future.
As hi-tech becomes increasingly critical to Israel's economic success, computer literacy & IT training are key to ensuring social mobility, educational opportunities, & gainful employment, especially for youth living in Israel's socioeconomic periphery. However, most jobs & resources are in the center, so youth in the periphery far less exposed to science & tech education than their urban counterparts & have limited opportunities to gain advanced skills needed to achieve these skills.
As part of the nationwide Net@ Youth movement, we will provide advanced training to 300 mixed youth from Israel's periphery via a 5 day Expertise Summer Camp. Participants will learn advanced skills within 1 of 3 tracks: Youth Instructor, Entrepreneurship or Computer Lab Technician which they'll study over a 3 year period. They'll gain adequate hands-on experience & tech training (HTML 5, App Development, basic Coding).
The Expertise Summer Camp is one of the programs within the 4 year nationwide Net@ Youth movement for mixed youth from Israel's periphery. It will give 300 youth advanced tech skills & training to achieve future success. The Net@ Youth movement currently has 1,700 participants & provides them with the necessary tech & social leadership skills that allow them to achieve academic success, effectively compete in the job market and become leaders within their communities.
